Our View
“There is no way that cutting off transportation - completely or in part - to 6,500 city students attending charter schools is good for the families and young people of this community. It doesn't save Buffalo Public Schools money, it doesn't benefit parents, and it doesn't do anything to enhance students' education. Simply put, it is the latest in a series of attacks by Dr. Williams and his staff on education reform and the ability of Buffalo families to choose a better education for their children.”

“If the Buffalo Public Schools' motto is 'putting families first,' then why did its staff push to make life more difficult for the hundreds of Buffalo families that choose charter schools? Causing additional hardships on families and young people already under so much stress cannot make our community any better. This latest attack is not about fiscal responsibility, it is not about education, and it is certainly not about children.”
